The Bards are enjoying the success of their second album, "Once a Bard..." They are now dedicating themselves to their next release: a full-length CD of traditional Irish/Scottish songs and a few more original tunes. Songs for the upcoming album include the Bards' jazzy rendition of "Rocky Road to Dublin," along with two original songs composed for Anacortes Community Theatre's production of Romeo & Juliet: an instrumental called "Burn Bright" and the always-sweet "Sonnet XVIII." The album should be ready for a release at the start of the busy summer season.

Also on the Bards' agenda is getting the albums up on iTunes and other mp3 sites within the next month or so. The Bards' repertoire continues to grow as they discover fun traditional songs, amazing works by other bards, and of course, compose more originals themselves.
